At church yesterday, we had a great meeting with some amazing talks about serving others. One of the things that stuck out the most to me is that things that might seem simple to us (the server), are usually something that mean a lot to others (the serve-ee). It got me extra motivated again to serve others, so I decided that each day I'll ask Paige who she wants to serve that day (it can be anyone -- a friend, a family member, a neighbor, etc.), and then we'll think of a way to serve that person that day. We're also including that person in our prayers that day. It's only been one day of it, but I'm really excited about this new idea (it's somewhat similar idea to what Sheila at Pennies of Time does with her boys) especially because Paige has a say in what we do & it's something that won't take a lot of time or planning.
