Join Our Monthly Service Challenge!

I started this blog for 2 main reasons:
  • to share about our journey with Apraxia
  • to hopefully inspire other moms to include their children in service projects every now and then.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again... children (and parents) can learn some amazing life lessons and values if they participate in some sort of service on a regular basis.  Because of this I have decided to start a challenge...

If you choose to accept this challenge, I will send you a challenge each month via email.  You have a whole month to plan, prepare and execute it.  I know you're busy (heck, you're a mom!), but it will pay off.  Besides, service doesn't always have to be a big deal... sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest impact.  I'll send you many simple & inexpensive ideas on how you can serve with your children!

Not sure if you can commit to every month?  No problem!  I just want to help you to get ideas on how to include your children in service when it works for you!

The Mommy & Me Monthly Service Challenge will start in January... which is the perfect time for starting your New Year's resolution of teaching your kids about service.

But wait, there's more!

I'd love for this to be a community.  A place where you can come to "meet" other moms with similar values and a place where you can come to get some great ideas on how to include your children (of any age) in community service.

So this is where I need your help...

I'll need you to comment or email me with your service stories & ideas.  If I get enough interest, I will eventually host a monthly link up where you can either share your own blog post about your experience that month, or where you can comment with your stories.  But it won't be a community without your help.  I know I have shared some fun and creative ways to serve, but we all know that two heads are better than one!  If you share your stories with me, I'll feature one each month so you can get more ideas.

So here's what you do:
  • Sign up below to join our challenge (don't forget to confirm your email!)
  • Plan, prepare and execute your service project
  • Comment or email me with your experience... maybe I'll feature you!

This will in no way charge you more money... in fact, I love to save money so I usually post links that are the best deals possible. All money earned through my affiliate links or donations will go to my daughter's speech therapy.

  1. This is such a great idea! I can't commit to it, but I will be keeping it in the back of my mind. We're about to build a box for Operation Christmas, you know, the shoebox deal and we also purchase for Angel Tree each year.

  2. My 17yo daughter with moderate cerebral palsy often sits on the sign language tutoring sessions I do each week with a high school student. I can't say it's service per se, but it's about close as she's ever been beyond joining us for church service events and just usually watching since she can't physically do the tasks. I'd be interested, but need ideas for my teenage physically impaired daughter. (Sharing some comment love back at ya from Love That Max, too!)

  3. What a fun idea! Love having my daughter serve. Last month we delivered cookie plates to a handful of people and this month we are going to do Operation Christmas Child.
