About This Mom

I don't know about you, but when I became a mom, I wanted advice... LOTS of advice!  So, I asked as many questions as I could to every mom I knew.  Now that I've been around the block a time or two, I have friends coming to ME for advice, and I love it!  I feel like I've accomplished something & made it to the next step of mommy-hood.  Because of that (and my love for blogging), I decided to start this blog.

Hi...I'm Michelle!
I'm a 20 something stay at home mom who calls Salt Lake City, Utah home.  I have addictions to Target, Instagram, chocolate, the clearance rack & nap time.  I love photography, crafting (if it's easy!) and fly fishing.  I am try to be organized, and I live by my Google calendar!  I love to constantly change my hair cut & color and I have a love/hate relationship with bangs.  I am terrified of heights and a self proclaimed chicken (no roller coasters for me, thanks!).  One day, when I grow up, I want to be a preschool or kindergarten teacher.  I also have a dream of starting a non-profit organization... I'm just not 100% what it will be for yet.

I've been blogging since 2008, on personal blogs, but occasionally posted here and there as a guest blogger for different craft ideas.  I've always wanted to start a mommy blog, but I always had some excuse.  Until one day I decided to put all of the excuses aside & I've never looked back since then.

That's my handsome husband ;)  He's a bean counter (an accountant) who loves college football.  Believe it or not, it was even his idea for me to start this blog!  On our second date he took me on his motorcycle & I knew I found the one right then and there.  :)  He's a pretty great kid who works really hard for us so I can stay at home and take care of the girls.

Cute, huh?!

Meet Paige & Lindsey (Z for short).  I think they are pretty darn adorable... but I'm supposed to, right?

Paige is 3 & has been diagnosed with a neurological disorder called Apraxia.  You can learn more about Apraxia here.  She's an amazing little girl that is sweet & very obedient.  She has an amazing memory, loves reading, drawing & jumping, but she does not like splash pad parks.

Lindsey is 1.  She's got the sweetest smile & keeps us very busy!  We're pretty sure she'll keep us on our toes for her whole life.  :)  She loves attention & would have a binkie in her mouth 24/7 if we would let her.  (don't worry... we don't!)

I'm far from being the perfect mom.  My house is usually a big mess and I have grumpy and tired days (days where I'm pulling my hair out), just like any other mom... I hope I'm not alone anyway...  It's very important to me, though, that I teach my daughters how to be polite, kind & to serve others often.  I've also made it my goal share some of those moments with you!
