Throughout our Hard Candy Case giveaway, I'll be posting about our favorite apps we use on our iPad. Some are specifically for speech therapy for my daughter who has Apraxia and some are educational.
Articulate It is a speech therapy app that is simple, but at the same time has a lot of great options.
It starts out with 2 options. The child (or adult helping the child) can pick from flash cards or matching. Once one of the two has been selected, there are 4 more customization options; phoneme, phonological processes, manner of articulation & number of syllables.
If you've selected flash cards, you can hear the word, hear the word in a phrase, or hear the word in a sentence.
In the matching section, there's a pretty typical matching game with lots of different words to pick from.

how many choices you have & how many words it has per sound. Their variety is good.
It might sound simple & silly, but I love that you can pick how many syllables the words have. They have the option from 1-4 syllables, which is great because this app can grow with your child.
I'm not a speech therapist, but I feel like this app would be great for either at home or in a professional setting. It's a very versatile app.
